ECC Leadership

ECC’s mission statement starts with “We, the employee-owners of ECC, embody the entrepreneurial spirit to realize our dreams and dare to be great.” We understand that our company and clients' successes are tied to the talent of our employees. We commit to helping employees become strong and experienced leaders through education, training, communication, and mentorship, which allows us to grow organically, promote from within, cultivate internal skills and knowledge, and incentivize development and leadership.

ECC Wellness: We respect and care about the wellness of the individual and their families. ECC's Wellness Program supports employees with work/life balance and other components of wellness including physiological and psychosocial health. With a 70 percent participation rate, not only has the program boosted morale, productivity, and camaraderie, but it has also lowered our health insurance costs. Since 2008, employees lost 3,488 pounds of fat mass and decreased their intake of prescriptions for preventable conditions; 42 people quit smoking. ECC was named a 2013 Editor’s Choice Award for the Healthiest Employers in Hawaii.

Personal Leadership Development Program: Each individual--regardless of her or his title--is a leader of ECC. To harness this capability, we offer a University of Denver-accredited Personal Leadership Development Program designed to improve personal leadership knowledge and skills. Employees learn about their impact as a leader of ECC and are provided the knowledge, skills, and training to realize their potential.

Professional Forums and Net-Work Groups: ECC offers professional practice and leadership forums and network groups, such as the Women's Leadership Group, to share ideas, transcend organizational and physical boundaries, engage all levels of leadership, and allow our experts to shape the future and success of the company.

Project Management Program: In collaboration with Northeastern University and the Project Management Institute, ECC has developed a project manager training program that enables participants to grow their career alongside some of the most experienced and highly educated leaders in our industries. Participants are introduced to each dimension of project management, including cost/scheduling, purchasing/contracts, estimating, quality control/safety, and field engineering.

Professional Certifications and Advanced Training: We encourage and incentivize employees to enhance their education and skills with professional certifications and advanced classes, workshops, and training through tuition reimbursement and career guidance policies.
