Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency

ECC recognizes the growing importance of renewable energy and energy efficiency from both global stewardship and cost control perspectives. As our Federal clients turn to alternative energy sources and look to improve their energy efficiency, they can depend on ECC for the most technically advanced and cost-effective solutions. With a dedicated team of energy experts, we help our Federal Government clients reduce energy consumption and save long-term operational costs. Whether constructing or renovating power plants, developing alternative energy sources of power, or installing renewable energy systems such as photovoltaic panels or wind turbines, ECC has the capabilities to help our customers achieve their short and long-term energy goals. ECC’s experienced staff have executed a wide variety of energy projects, including:
  • Augmenting electrical O&M processes and spare parts
  • Upgrading/replacing electrical and HVAC systems
  • Upgrading power distribution systems
  • Installing energy-efficient building components
  • Conducting major facility renovations to include demolishing back to the core structure and rebuilding back out to create spaces that significantly beat ASHRAE 90.1 guidelines
  • Installing networkable power meters to monitor utility power demand
  • Designing, constructing, and installing renewable energy systems, such as wind turbines and photovoltaic arrays
  • Developing, constructing, owning, and operating energy projects under power purchase agreements
  • Replacing and repairing electrical components, including switches, generators, synchronization equipment, power feeders, circuit breakers, power monitoring, and back-up power transfer switches
