Managing Iraqi Legacy Depot Operations, Coalition Munitions Clearance (CMC), Iraq

ECC executed large-scale ammunition depot, remote site management, and battle area clearance activities throughout Iraq for more than 18 months. Our team identified, collected, transported, and destroyed nearly 350 types of munitions and explosives of concern (MEC), unexploded ordnance (UXO), and captured enemy ammunition (CEA) originating from 24 countries; provided security; and maintained records. ECC performed other munitions-related services including UXO and battlefield munitions clearance at additional ammunition supply points, collection points, and remote cache sites. ECC destroyed 450,000 UXO items at remote sites. At the 247-acre Buckmaster Depot, ECC encompassed 100 covered ammunition magazines and 200 open revetments, storing 26,000 tons of CEA.
