ECC was awarded a project to perform a feasibility study at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant under our Environmental Remediation Multiple Award (ERMA) Contract with the US Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command. Under the task order, ECC is conducting remedial investigations, including surface water and groundwater sampling and drilling new monitoring wells, where releases of aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF) containing polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) have occurred. Work is being conducted in accordance with the remedial investigation work plan, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, the National Contingency Plan, Missouri Department of Natural Resources, and US Environmental Protection Agency requirements, as well as the US Army Requirements and Guidance for field investigations including specific requirements for sampling PFAS.
